<strong>applied to the inner wall of the mold<\/strong> <strong>so that the rotomolded part separates easily at the end of the cycle.<\/strong> At <strong>AITANACHEM<\/strong>, we have developed a The part must remain attached to the mold wall for a large part of the cycle and separate only at the very end.<\/strong> This is why a rotational mold release agent has to perform four different functions at different stages of the process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Allow the resin to adhere to the mold walls during the initial heating phase<\/strong>, acting at all times as a physical barrier between the mold wall and the plastic resin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ensure that the entire part remains in contact with the mold walls throughout the heating cycle<\/strong> and the initial part of the cooling cycle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Maintain that contact until the part has gained the structural cohesion it needs<\/strong> so as not to collapse during demolding.<\/li>\n<li>Enable the rapid extraction of the part without causing any abrasion to the mold surface.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This sequence explains why a generic release agent does not perform well in rotomolding: <strong>it is not enough for it to release the part, it has to release it<\/strong> <strong>at exactly the right moment<\/strong>. A release agent with a wide temperature range optimises cycles and directly improves productivity.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ce82828 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ce82828\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Zero transfer to the rotomolded part<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6fb37cb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6fb37cb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The release agent must <strong>not transfer to or contaminate the part.<\/strong> This is critical for high value-added parts that will be painted, screen-printed or bonded at later stages, such as automotive components. <strong>Even minimal transfer forces you to add a washing step that increases costs and slows down the line.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b067956 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b067956\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Free from solvents and alcohols<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-52623f7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"52623f7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In an industry where <strong>ovens exceed 200 \u00b0C, working with flammable products is an avoidable risk.<\/strong> Our water-based release agents release neither CFCs nor volatile organic compounds, are not classified as dangerous goods (ADR) and allow for a safer, healthier working environment.
